Many rum connoisseurs around the world have a favourite variety or two. Some spend hundreds of euros or dollars on a bottle, others are reluctant to do so. They are convinced that the differences cannot be that great after all. So what is really true? Are there bottles on the market that are so good that they cost four-figure sums? I show which things determine the taste of rum and why some drops actually turn out particularly well.
An isotonic drink is a liquid whose composition is adapted to that of human blood. This refers to the ratio between nutrients and the amount of liquid. Once the drink has the same osmotic pressure, it can be absorbed particularly quickly by the body.
Alcohol, for example, has a lower density than blood. For this reason, its consumption causes the cells to be squeezed out and dehydrated. This is also the reason why it is highly dangerous to exercise under the influence of alcohol.
Most people think it is necessary to buy special products to get a high quality isotonic drink. But this is not true. Usually it is sufficient to use a mixture of mineral water and a little fruit juice. For example with apple juice or coconut water.
Numerous companies have distinguished themselves in this area in recent years. Their isotonic drinks are mostly colourful and look as if they had been designed in a highly technological laboratory. But that's not true. Making such a drink is very easy and very inexpensive.
The Greater Manchaster Marathon is the second largest in England. The first was held in 2012. The course is one of the flattest marathons in the world.
The first marathon in the Manchester area was held in 1908. It started and ended at Saracen's Head Pub in Warburton. So it was one round. At that time it was only 32 kilometres long.
Only the following year there was a race over 26 miles and 385 meters. This started in Sandbach and ended in the Fallowfield Stadium in Manchester.
In the course of the following years there were several races, in which, however, different tracks were used again and again. That means different starting points and ends.
If you want to run a marathon, you should start training about 6 months before the start of the marathon. First with smaller distances and then increase the distance.
It is important to always have enough drinks with you when running and to take them with you while running.
